The teacher exposes the students to the language through examples. 2. The teacher guides the observation and analysis of the language by drawing attention to the significant points he/she wants to present. 3. The teacher uses the information discovered from step 2 to state the grammar rule, or to get the learners to state the grammar rule. 4.
